COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION HARROW, DISK TYPE, TANDEM
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item
Description (CID), for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This CID covers requirements for a multi-purpose, disk type, tandem harrows, hereinafter called "harrows", used in the mixing of aggregate and bituminous materials with subgrade soils in progressive stabilization of military roadbeds.
2. CLASSIFICATION. Harrows shall be of the following types, classes, and sizes: Type I - Single Tandem.
Type II - Double Tandem.
Class 1 - Notched front disk blades and solid rear blades. Class 2 - Solid front disk blades and solid rear blades.
Size 8 - 8 foot cutting width. Size 10 - 10 foot cutting width. Size 12 - 12 foot cutting width.
